Home.

I’m too big for this bed.
So fast looking back,
moments so slow.

I fear the greying tulips
that will one day crumble off

That’s why
I’ll never bear the fruit
of braver women
that would make me grow old
twice as fast.

This is why they take pictures
force us to remember
that time has passed
hairstyles and beauty
that only last
on hard drives and gloss paper
so easy to be erased.
If I were to be erased

it wouldn’t matter to me
only others
who have lost enough

Then I would never have to see
the tulips grey
and crumble off

Destroyed hard drives and glass paper.
